> The STX API: REST endpoints, WebSocket channels, API keys and request signing, and combos.

Source: https://docs.stxapp.io/api/

Everything you can do on STX from code goes through these. Sign requests with your API key, call the REST endpoints for one-off reads and orders, and keep a WebSocket open for anything that changes while you watch it.

- [REST API](/api/rest/): Markets, orders, fills, positions, balances and history over HTTP, each endpoint with its parameters and a real response.
- [WebSockets](/websockets/): Order books, trades and your own orders, fills, positions and balance, pushed as they change.
- [API keys and request signing](/api/authentication/): Create an Ed25519 key and sign every REST request and the WebSocket handshake with it.
- [Combos](/concepts/combos/): One market across several legs, quoted by makers and accepted by the player over two WebSocket channels.

Prefer a library? The [TypeScript](/sdks/typescript/), [Python](/sdks/python/) and [C#](/sdks/csharp/) SDKs sign for you and cover the same endpoints and channels.
